Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Institute (MQoP), formerly known as the Beehive Centre for Social Enterprise, is a Catholic educational institute located at the foot of Michiru Mountain in Chilomoni, Blantyre. We offer education ranging from Early Childhood Development to Tertiary Education.

Job Title College Receptionist
Reporting to The College Registrar
Job Summary:
The College Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and other visitors to the college. This position requires a professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate offices or departments
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff in all the channels (online and offline)
- Provide information about college programs, services, and policies to visitors
- Schedule appointments and meetings for the college principal and registrar
- Assist with student registration and enrollment processes, including providing information about application procedures and deadlines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student registration, visitor interactions and inquiries
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Assist with general office tasks, such as filing, data entry, and photocopying
- Ensure the reception area is clean and well-organized at all times
- Follow all college policies and procedures related to confidentiality and privacy of information
- Any other duties as assigned by the line manager from time to time
Requirements:
- Diploma in administration, marketing, or customer service-related qualifications or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in customer service or administrative support roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and representing the college in a positive and professional manner
Additional Information:
• Candidates should be available to take on a full-time role with the Institution as early as possible
• Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications
